 | Better Place Australia is currently working to establish the infrastructure and intelligent network to enable the widespread adoption of electric vehicles in Australia. Infrastructure rollout will commence in Canberra in 2011, with customers being served from 2012.
There is widespread public support and economic reasoning behind the mass adoption of electric vehicles. The nationwide infrastructure of recharge and battery exchange points will provide an unlimited driving range for electric vehicles users, thus removing a key historical limitation to mass adoption.
